Parliamentary Delegation confer handicraft artisans in kashmir

 Srinagar, Sep 01(KNS): A delegation of parliamentarians led by its chairmen Vivek Thakur today visited Pashamkaar kashmir at Nigeen Hazratbal. 

The main aim of the visit was to confer handicraft artisans of kashmir and honour their work. While awarding various artisans, the Mr Vivek said that the artisans of kashmir valley have given their blood and sweat to survive this trade and  culture and they are much deserved. 


The handicraft artisans from Kashmir have brought laurels to Jammu and Kashmir by providing quilty work and art. Tariq Dar Founder & CEO of PASHMKAAR said

It was wonderful to see how chairman sir and the members of the committee took great interest in seeing how real pashmina is made and were fascinated by the craft .Our artisans felt the recognition and appreciation for their craft and it really boosted  their morale . 


He further added that, "My aim at PASHMKAAR is to preserve an promote   authentic and finest handcrafted pashmina products  of kashmir. Pashmina is the heritage of India for the last 700 years and PASHMKAAR is dedicated to preserve that heritage & legacy. I am thankful to honourable Chairman Shri Vivek Thakur and respected committee members for taking their precious time out to visit PASHMKAAR and appreciate our efforts to preserve authentic pashmina and assuring us their support in future also in our mission."
