Srinagar, July 11:(KNS)   The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior leader and Former MLC  Haji Ghulam Qadir Pardesi on Sunday paid glowing tributes to Madre Maharban Begum Akbar Jehan Abdullah on her 21st death aniverssary. 
While paying tributes,Pardesi recollected the spirit of social service and social justice that was upheld by Madr-e-Meharban and described her as an epitome of selfless social service, conviction, piety and courage.
“Madr-e-Meharban was not only a pillar of moral support to Sher-e-Kashmir Sheikh Mohammad Abdullah but also a compassionate mother of the people. She always demonstrated a commitment to lead them in his absence against all odds. She worked tirelessly for the amelioration of the poor and weaker sections of society and took upon herself the role to be the voice of the downtrodden. On her death anniversary , i pay my humble tributes to her and pray to Almighty to elevate her stations in Jannat,"he said.(KNS)
