Srinagar July 09 (KNS) : The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Senior leader and Former MLC Alhaj Sheikh Ghulam Qadir Pardesi on Saturday greeted people on the observance of Eid Ul Zuha.
In his greetings message, Pardesi said the significance of Eid al-Zuha is that it commemorates Prophet Abraham's ( AS) supreme sacrifice and trust in Almighty Allah. "The day is of great significance because the Day of Sacrifice also marks the climax of Hajj or Pilgrimage, the fifth pillar of Islam. The observance of Eid Ul Zuha inculcates a sense of sacrifice and compassion in the Muslims. I hope and pray the day acts as harbinger of peace , prosperity and harmony in J&k,"he added.(KNS)
