Panic grips in Karnah after three-more test positive

Srinagar,April 10 (KNS): Panic gripped in Karnah tehsil of north Kashmir’s Kupwara district on Friday as three more people tested positive for deadly Corona virus.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS), fresh cases include two from Baghbella and one from Gomal village of Karnah taking the total number of active case in the sub-division to four. Officials reports said that all three fresh cases have travel history to Nizam-ud-Din Delhi.

He said the suspected cases who had already been kept in Degree College Tanghdar will be taken to Kupwara this evening with full medical protocol.

Meanwhile, administration had already declared Baghbella village as red zone after first positive case was reported from the village few days ago while reported fresh cases on Friday, authorities declared Gomal village also as red zone to prevent the spread of deadly Covid-19 pandemic.

Authorities advised people not to panic in light of spike in positive cases and appealed residents to take utmost care and precautionary measures advised by administration.

The sub Divisional Magistrate Karnah Dr. Bilal Mohi Ud Din Bhat (IAS) told KNS that "People are advised to strictly act upon the guidelines and stay indoors so that the spread of the virus is checked and the number of affected persons is kept at the lowest". (KNS)
