Pakistani militant of LeT killed in Sopore encounter, 3 others escape: IGP Kashmir

Sopore, June 06 (KNS): Inspector general of police Kashmir zone, Vijay Kumar on Monday said that a Pakistani militant was killed, while three others escaped from cordon during an encounter in Sopore area of Baramulla district.
 
Kashmir zone police on it's official Twitter handle, while quoting IGP said that a Pakistani militants affiliated with LeT was killed in the encounter.
 
He added that two foreign militants and one local militant escaped from cordon. “Search operation is going on in the area.” 
 
IGP further said that as per the documents recovered from the killed Pakistani militant, he has been identified as Hanzalla of Lahore, Pakistan. 
 
“One AK rifle, 05 magazines along with ammunition has been recovered. Further details shall follow,” he said.
 
Earlier, encounter broke out in Panipora forest area of Zaloora in Sopore town on Monday evening. (KNS)
