Bandipora, March 14 (KNS): Three families were rendered homeless after a devastating fire incident turned their residential houses into ashes in Watpora area of Bandipora district on Friday late evening.

An official told news agency KNS that the residential houses belonging to three brothers were reduced to ashes after a massive fire broke out in one of the  houses late last night.

He said that the fire erupted from the residential houses of Nisar Ahamd and engulfed the whole house within no time. “There was, however, no loss of human life reported in the incident,” the official said.

The official told KNS that as soon as the fire erupted in the area fire tenders were rushed to the spot and fire was brought under control.

He said that till the fire was brought under control three families were rendered homeless and property worth lakhs got perished.

Meanwhile, a police official said that they have taken cognizance of the matter.

The locals appealed to the district administration to rehabilitate the fire affected families. (KNS)
