Over 12 lakh ABHA IDs generated, more than 60K Ayushman Cards approved so far

Srinagar, Dec 19 (KNS): Ayushman Bhav campaign is setting a benchmark in the Kashmir valley with a wide range activities and has recorded 968640 footfall so far, generated 1285396 ABHA IDs, has approved 60204 Ayushman Cards, while 126208 Ayushman cards have been delivered so far. 

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), that under the campaign 132306 individuals have availed Ayush consultations, 449896 patients have got free medicine, while 384268 patients have availed free diagnostic so far. 

He said that the key activities under the campaign has helped implementing agencies to conduct 177 melas, in which 829 minor and major surgeries were conducted. 

“During the campaign, the department has also organized 165 blood donation camps, and collected 3204 units of blood. 362 individuals have taken pledge for organ donation during the campaign in the Valley. In view of the momentum generated by the campaign, the Ayushman Bhavah Campaign from September 17 has been extended till March 31, 2024.”

The official said that the campaign has been instrumental in creating awareness and providing essential health services directly to the people. 

“Since it is challenging in cold weather conditions in Kashmir, but our staff is on toes and trying their best to provide healthcare facilities to the people,” he said. 

Meanwhile, locals also hailed administration for launching the campaign, particularly in remotest areas of the Valley to deliver primitive healthcare to the people. (KNS)
