Jammu, Oct 6 (KNS): The Jammu Division of Northern Railway has decided to open an additional One Station One Product (OSOP) outlet at Platform Nos 1/2 of Pathankot Junction Railway Station, officials said on Tuesday.

The outlet will offer popular local products, including Pathankot's Gajak, sweet and sour Aam Papad and traditional Rewadi, as part of the Railways' initiative to promote local products and culture.

The OSOP scheme aims to provide local artisans, confectioners, Self Help Groups (SHGs) and small vendors an opportunity to market their products and generate employment through railway stations.

Interested local artisans and applicants can contact the Station Superintendent, Pathankot Junction, for details regarding eligibility and the application process.

Senior Divisional Commercial Manager, Jammu, Uchit Singhal said the objective of the OSOP scheme is to provide a wider market to local products.

“With the opening of the second OSOP outlet at Pathankot Junction, not only will the local people get self-employment, but passengers will also get to experience the local taste along with world-class facilities,” he said.(KNS)
