Handwara, Oct 05 (KNS): The students of Army Goodwill School Naugam on Tuesday held a ceremony to felicitate their teachers on World Teachers Day.

As per a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), the students of AGS Naugam thanked and appreciated their teachers by hosting a list of performances and recitals for them.

“About 190 students from 1st to 10th standard hosted their 21 teachers and service staff at a beautifully coordinated event which was aimed to celebrate their role in the life of every student as a beacon who have guided them through. They sang songs, recited poetry and conveyed their gratitude towards their teachers,” reads the statement.

It reads that the teachers were also elated by this gesture and expressed their happiness by thanking students for this beautiful gesture.

“The bond of a teacher and a student has been sacred in our culture since the beginning of the time and events like these celebrating the spirit of "Guru Shishya"culture, assures that we, as a country are on the correct moral, ritual and cultural path,” it reads. (KNS)
