Srinagar, 26 July (KNS): Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Vice President Mr. Omar Abdullah on Sunday visited the bereaved family of Late Syed Muhammad Shafi Shah at Khanabal, extended condolences to them, prayed for eternal repose to the departed soul.

According to statement issued to KNS, While sharing the grief of bereaved family, Party Vice President said that the late leader was an exemplary politician; who always gave preeminence to the interests of the party.

“Shafi sahib possessed exceptional qualities, which are uncommon in contemporary politics. An ace speaker, a proactive ground worker and a committed soldier of party; he held the party flag high in the most trying times braving all difficulties. He left us too soon. His passing away has created a void in the political landscape of south Kashmir, and his presence will be sorely missed in the party. He will be remembered for his contribution to the party for all the times to come,” Omar said.

On the occasion party vice president consoled the son of late leader, Syed Sabha. Party Vice President offered Fateh for the deceased and prayed to Almighty to grant highest echelons to the departed soul in Jannah and fortitude to the bereaved family to bear the inconsolable loss.

Among others senior leaders GA Shah, Nazir Khan Gurezi, party’s district president Anantnag Altaf Kaloo, Javed Dar, spokesperson Imran Nabi Dar, Reyaz Khan, Sheikh Rafi, Suhail Beg, Younis Mubarak Gul, Ahsan Pardesi, Irfan Gulzar, Peerzada Musharraf, Javaid Bhat were also present. The functionaries also participated in the Fateha prayers. (KNS)
