Nowgam Kupwara Fire Incident: AIP Extends Sympathy With Fire Victims

Kupwara Dec 17 (KNS): Awami Ithaad Party has expressed their sympathy to the shopkeepers of Nowgam Kupwara which were gutted in a massive fire on Wednesday

According to the statement issue to news agency-Kashmir news service (KNS) reads,"Extremely anguished by the fire tragedy in Nowgam Kupwara.Our thoughts with the fire victims.we appeal District adminstration Kupwara to provide all possible assistance to those affected,"

AIP has also urged the Army and the District Administration to make special arrangements for the rehabilitation of the shopkeepers, and urged the LG J&K and Army top brass to intervene personally and ensure proper relief and rehablitation of these poor shopkeepers as they have no other source of income and belong to poor families.

Several leaders of Awami Itehad Party which includes Contesting DDC candidate Khursheed Ahmad, BDC Mawer Tahir Mir, Sarpanch Manzoor Hassan Khan, Mashooq Ahmad and Gh Mohammad also expressed sorrow over the incident.They visited the residence of these fire victims at Nowgam, Reshwari, Puthwari, Lawoosa and expressed their sympathy with them.They appealed Lt. Governor led adminstration to intervene into the matter and provide all possible assistance to those affected and appealed army officials as well to provide them every possible assistance as the shops were in the permises of Army Head quarter Nowgam.

Awami Itehad patron Er. Rasheed's Brother, Khursheed Ahmad Sheikh also expressed his sympathy with these shopkeepers."Words cannot describe the terrible tragedy that has taken place in Nowgam Kupwara. My sincere condolences to the shopkeepers,he said.

It is pertinent to mention that In fire incident last night inside an 17 Inf brigade Nowgam Langate, about more than two dozens shops belonging to civillians from Lavoosa and Nowgam area of North kashmir's Kupwara District got completely gutted in fire alongwith their goods,material and cash worth crores of ruppees.(KNS)
