Now minor girl killed in suspected wild animal attack in Uri, 3rd incident in 48 hrs

Uri, June 14 (KNS): Two days after killing of two boys in a suspected wild animal attack in Uri, now a minor girl has been killed in another suspected wild animal attack in Bernate village of Boniyar locality in Uri area of Baramulla district on Tuesday morning. 
 
 
Reports reaching Kashmir News Service (KNS) said that the a 10-year-old girl identified as Rutba daughter of Manzoor Ahmad Bhat of Bernate was killed in a suspected wild animal attack this morning and her body was recovered from a nearby forest area. 
 
Notably, this is the third such incident in the last 48 hours in Uri area. 
 
On Sunday evening, body of a 12-year-old boy identified as Shahid Ahmad son of Abdul Jabbar of Trikanjan was recovered from forest area after he went missing when he had gone to bring back the cattle in a nearby forest area. 
 
On Saturday, a 15-year-old boy identified as Muneer Ahmad of Kalsan area of Uri was mauled to death by a wild animal. 
 
The back to back incidents in Uri area have created panic among the local residents and they have urged the authorities to catch the wild animal. (KNS)
