Srinagar, Jan 20 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a non-local drug peddler near Malkha Chowk in Srinagar and recovered huge quantity of contraband substance from his possession.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a team of Police Station Nowhatta headed by Station House Officer arrested a drug peddler namely Mohammad Qurban Sheikh son of Mohammad Amir Ali Sheikh of Indra Gandhi Camp Tiamoor Nagar South Delhi at present Bulbul Bagh Tanpora Srinagar.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
It reads that 2 kg and 790 gram charas powder was recovered from his possession by the Naka Party of the Police Station at Malkha Chowk.
“In this regard a case FIR No. 07/2022 U/S 8/20 NDPS Act has been registered and further investigation has been started,” it reads. (KNS)
