DC Kupwara terms allegations as baseless, says he himself met every injured person

Srinagar, Apr 27 (KNS): Sarpanchs and Panchs, who were injured in a road accident in Pattan on Monday evening after returning from PM Modi’s rally, on Wednesday alleged that no one from the administration came to help them even as deputy commissioner termed the allegations as baseless. 

 
Talking to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Noor-ud-Din Bhat, Sarpanch Halqa Galgam-C, who was also injured in the accident alleged that no one from the administration came to their help.
 
He alleged that no body from the government or the local administration even bothered to call them.
 
“We have been left at the mercy of Allah as no government official or anyone from the local administration came to help them in this hour of need,” Bhat added.
 
Another Panch from Kupwara district who was injured in the accident said that whenever administration needs them, they are readily available. “However, in the hour of dire need no body from local administration or any government official even bothered to visit us or call us for help,” he said.
 
Notably, three persons including two Sarpanchs were killed after the bus, they were travelling in, met with an accident in Pattan on Monday while returning from PM Modi’s rally in Samba.
 
Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor, Manoj Sinha had directed the district administration to ensure best possible treatment for the the injured.
 
“Pained by the unfortunate demise of Sarpanch, Fayaz Ahmad Bhat in a road accident at Baramulla. My thoughts are with his family in this sad hour. Directed the district administration to ensure best possible treatment to the injured,” office of LG had Tweeted. 
 
Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Kupwara, Imam-ud-din told KNS that the allegations were baseless as he himself met with every person injured in the accident.
 
“I myself met them and even visited homes of some injured persons. The allegations levelled by them are baseless. Still if anybody has any grievance he should come to me,” he added. (KNS)
