NMP scheme a pipeline to give away public assets worth crores to select few: Manpreet Singh

Srinagar, Aug 31 (KNS): Youth leader and Incharge JKPYC, Manpreet Singh along with other youth Congress workers Tuesday were stopped by the police for protesting against the National Monetisation Pipeline Scheme in Tral area of South Kashmir’s Pulwama district.

In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that they were protesting and it’s their right to protest against what they feel is not beneficial for the country.

“It’s pertinent to mention that this Government wants to suppress public but we as Congressmen will always be with public and will stand with them,” reads that statement.

It reads: “We strongly condemn such greedy actions of the government. Whatever  Congress has done in the last 70 years,  BJP government is selling it out for their own selfish reasons. Privatisation of public assets by the government is not in favor of public but in favor of entrepreneurs like Ambani and Adani.”

It reads that Manpreet Singh stated that they will keep protesting against the issue until the government takes their destructive steps back. (KNS)
