NIA raids at several locations in Srinagar, Anantnag

Srinagar, July 11 (KNS): The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Sunday morning raided at several locations in Anantnag and Srinagar districts of Jammu and Kashmir including an Islamic seminary in Nawabazar locality of Srinagar and also arrested its chairman.

Sources told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the NIA team along with local police raided the premises of Darul Uloom, Dalal Mohalla, Nawabazar and conducted search in it.  

They said that during search they seized some office records and a laptop, and also arrested its chairman Adnaan Ahmad Nadvi son of Noor Din Bhat of Haka Bazar Hawal,

Sources informed that the Darul Uloom is affiliated with Darul Uloom Lucknow, UP.

Meanwhile, Sources said that NIA teams conducted raids at several villages of Anantnag including Pushroo, Sunsooma, and Achabal and arrested several persons. 

They said that those who have been arrested include Javaid Ahamad Mir son of Mohamad Shaban Mir of Sunsooma, Umar Bhat son Nisar Ahamad Bhat of Magray Mohallah Achabal, Ovais Ahamad Bhat son of Nisar Ahamad Bhat of Magray Mohallah Achabal, Tanveer Ahamad Bhat son of Gull Mohamad Bhat of Gori Mohallah Achabal and Zeeshan Ameen Malik son of Mohamad Ameen Malik of Pushroo Nowgam Achabal.
