NHR in collaboration with others hold press conference to highlight issues faced by Chowkidar community of J&K

Srinagar, Jan 12 (KNS): The National Human Rights Global Family in collaboration with other organisations on Wednesday highlighted several issues being faced by Chowkidar community of Jammu and Kashmir during a press conference.

According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that the press conference was organised by National Human Rights Global Family and Desh Ka Vikas, All india Samaj Sudar Organization and JK Civil Society combined with the support of Chowkidar association of J&K for their burning issues.

It reads that the issues include relaxation in latest circular issued by divisional commissioner Kashmir and enhancement in their honorarium from Rs 1500 to Rs 8000 as per the pattern of Haryana government and provide them pension, free education, free ration, electricity, bus fair and medical facilities free of charges.

Those who were present include director NHR, advocate M I Zargar, PRO All India NHR, Dr Sharik Lone, chairman JK Civil society Mohammad Altaf, district president, Kuldeep Kumar, Chowkidar Association president, G M Bhat and others. (KNS)
