Srinagar, August 10 (KNS): Jammu Kashmir Police received a lot of praise on social media for the excellent security arrangements during the 10th Muharram procession.

Former MLA and General Secretary All J&K Shia association Abid Ansari took to twitter to heap praises on J&K police.

"I on behalf of the entire Shia community would like to thank @JmuKmrPolice for their adequate security arrangements for Youm-e-Ashura on the martyrdom anniversary of Imam Hussain (AS), which was held across J&K on Tuesday with solemnity to pay homage to the martyrs of Karbala," he wrote.

People's Conference youth leader Mudasir Kareem also hailed the security arrangements of J&K Police in Zadibal area of Srinagar which witnesses biggest congregation.

"I would like to hail the entire @JmuKmrPolice especially ADGP Vijay Kumar, SSP Rakeh Balwal, SP Mashkoor, DSP Azhar , DIG Javed Kaul, SP Muzaffar Shah etc for their flawless & elobrate security arrangements on the grand 10th Muharram procession in Zadibal area,." he wrote.

Notably, ADGP Kashmir Vijay Kumar along with SSP Srinagar & other officers participated in the 10th Muharram procession marking the #martyrdom anniversary of Hazrat Imam Hussain (AS) & also held the Shabih e Zuljana of Imam Hussain (AS) today in Zadibal Srinagar. (KNS)
