Bandipora, Feb 19 (KNS): National Conference on sunday held a Party Convention in Bandipora Constituency and was chaired by Constiuency Incharge Bandipora Advocate Nazir Ahmad Malik.
The convention was attended by senior party functionaries besides party workers. While addressing the Party workers, Advocate Nazir Ahmad said that power has never been the destination of NC and described the party as a mass movement. Malik asked party cadre to continue with their efforts of public outreach besides extending best possible help to all masses especially the poor.
He said that people of Bandipora want NC Govt to come in power and an energetic NC wave full of hope for a better future in valley is prevailing everywhere. He said that National Conference alone can bring peace and normalcy in Jammu and Kashmir and ensure its progress and development by providing equal opportunities to the people of all the regions and sub-regions. He said that NC is the only party that can meet the challenges confronted to the region.
He said the previous dispensation has failed in assuaging the aspirations of the people, and has pushed youth backwards in every sphere. Bhat urged the workers to work with dedication and be in close contact with people to make them aware of party activities and the “mistakes committed by the previous dispensation.
Tanveer Ahmad Bhutto, while speaking on the occasion reaffirmed that only National Conference will steer the people of Jammu and Kashmir towards betterment and safeguard the special status of the state amid all onslaught.
"National Conference is the only option for the masses and youth of Jammu and Kashmir so as to achieve collective good of our place . Bandipora has been badly ignored and kept out of development as it's successive elected representatives of the Bandipora have failed people and just promoted corruption and nepotism. "
Youth were welcomed by NC youth leadership of the District Bandipora and vowed that interests and concerns of the youth would be kept paramount. Scores of youth from the other parties joined the National Conference on the occasion.(KNS)
