Stresses on greater role of party's youth functionaries

Srinagar Feb 04 (KNS):  The Jammu and Kashmir National Conference Provincial President, Kashmir Nasir Aslam Wani on Saturday met a number of public and worker's delegations at the party headquarters Nawa-e-Subha, Srinagar.

Party District President Srinagar Peer Afaq Ahmed, Provincial Spokesperson Ifra Jan, Shabir Ahmad, Media Advisor to Provincial President & Additional Spokesperson Danish Iqbal, YNC functionataries Mir Mushtaq, Sheikh Ovaise were also present on the occasion.

During the breadth of the meeting, the party functionaries apprised Nasir about the underway party political activities in their segments. He asked the functionaries to strengthen the party to meet the mounting challenges faced by people. He also called for maintaining strict discipline among party functionaries.

For NC to deepen its roots ever more than before, Nasir said, “It is imperative for our zonal, district functionaries to value workers.” He added that strengthening of the bottom-up model holds the key towards making the party stronger to take on the challenges in the future.

The visiting functionaries also raised a wide range of issues confronted by traders, unemployed youth, and artisans. The interaction of the visiting functionaries with the Provincial President was also marked by threadbare discussion on organisational issues and future course of action with regards the evolving situation in the region.

Extolling the party functionaries on their role in raising issues of public importance, Nasir said that the party's youth leaders have a greater role to play to develop a clear understanding about the party’s policies, priorities and perspective at multiple fronts in wake of the big challenges that have surfaced post 2019 measures.

The youth associated with the party have to work on mass fronts now and reach to greater audiences, particularly educated youth through various social media forums, he added.

“The need for such an approach becomes all the more necessary given the big and far reaching changes that were brought here in J&K. Our youth brigade has to take a lead in reaching out to people with the party’s vision and mission.” (KNS)
