Kupwara, Mar 08 (KNS): Police on Tuesday said that it has solved the murder mystery of an 8-year-old boy, who has gone missing from his home on February 15 in Awoora village of Kupwara district.
 
In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that the mystery behind sudden disappearance of Talib Hussain Khan has been solved after his body was recovered on the disclosure of the accused from a nearby forest area of Awoora.
 
The statement reads that Talib Hussain son of Manzoor Ahmad Khan of Awoora had disappeared moments after he left home on the fateful day on February 15.
 
“Since then, police had been on toes and had been relentlessly carrying searches for the missing boy. All water bodies, surrounding jungles and suspected places were searched by Police using drones and sniffing dogs but couldn’t get any clue. A large number of suspects were also put to sustained questioning dusting the last three weeks,” it reads.
 
Quoting SSP Kupwara, Yougal Manhas, statement reads that after having explored all the possible angles and questioning of a large number of people in connection with the case, Police finally were able to zeroed in on the main suspect who after sustained questioning confessed to the commission of crime.
 
It reads that it led to the recovery of the body of victim boy.
 
It further reads that Police and even some prominent members from the civil society had also announced reward for anyone who would help in tracing the innocent child. 
 
“The accused in the case has turned out to be neighbour of the victim namely Aamir Ahmad Khan (19) son of Mohd Amin Khan and his mother Shahnaza Begum (37). After post-mortem, the body of Talib was laid to rest in his ancestral graveyard today and investigations of the case have been taken ahead,” it reads.
 
It reads that people in large number appreciated efforts of police in unearthing the missing mystery as the incident had created panic and a sense of insecurity among parents in and around Kupwara. 
 
It reads that Police teams led by additional SP Pardeep Singh, DySP Headquarters Rashid Younis, Inspector Nazeer Ahmad SHO PS Trehgam and Azhar Shakeel IC PP Awoora worked out the case after putting in relentless efforts. (KNS)
