MP Choudhary Ramzan seeks ropeway connectivity for Bungus Valley

 New Delhi, Mar 14 (KNS): Member of Parliament Chaudhary Mohammad Ramzan on Saturday raised the demand for connecting the picturesque Bungus Valley in North Kashmir with a ropeway project, citing its potential to transform the region into a major tourist destination.

 
Raising the matter in the Parliament, the MP as per news agency Kashmir News Service (KNS) emphasized the urgent need to improve connectivity to the valley, often referred to as the "Kashmir Valley" due to its stunning meadows. He formally queried the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways regarding the possibility of developing a ropeway project in the area under the Centre’s National Ropeways Development Programme.Click Here To Follow Our WhatsApp Channel
 
Highlighting the socio-economic benefits of such a project, Rajya sabha member Choudhary Ramzan sought to know whether the Government proposes to include Bungus in the programme to not only promote sustainable tourism but also to generate employment opportunities for the local youth and give a fillip to the regional economy.
