Mohd Amin Bhat, S S Channi, others pays glowing tributes to Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary

Srinagar,21 May (KNS): Senior Congress Leader and Former Legislator Mohd Amin Bhat today paid glowing tributes to Former Prime Minister Rajiv Gandhi on his death anniversary.

In a statement issued to Kashmir news service (KNS), Mohd Amin Bhat said Rajiv Gandhi was a man of development, who always remained concerned for the empowerment of people at the grassroots, ensuring that every section of the country enjoy the fruits of development, besides he worked tirelessly for empowering deprived sections living the country.

Rajiv Ji lowered the voting rights of youth from 21 to 18, which was a remarkable decision, besides bringing IT revolution in the country, Bhat said and described the departed leader as a visionary and an icon of peace, harmony and development.

Meanwhile, JKPCC General Secretary Surinder Singh Channi, District Presidents and various other leaders distributed food items among the poor people as a mark of respect to Former PM Raji Gandhi, who attained martyrdom on this day.

Rajiv was a liberal and a man of development, who left no stone unturned to empower people at the grassroots and always remained concerned of the upliftment of poor and downtrodden section living in the country, Surinder Singh Channi said.

Youth leader Manpreet Singh also distributed relief among poor people in Jammu.
