Srinagar January 23:(KNS)  Provincial President, Kashmir of JK Apni Party Mohammed Ashraf Mir has urged the LG administration to release compensation in favour of the people who have suffered in view of heavy snowfall.

In a statement to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Mir said that the Govt should constitute revenue official’s teams for the assessment of the losses suffered by people in different parts of the valley.

He said that the inclement weather conditions have caused great inconvenience to the people with the snapping of electricity and blocking of roads in many difficult areas due to which the supply of essential commodities have stopped.

“The administration should ensure the people get an adequate supply of kerosene, food grains and other essentials with the restoration of all roads,” he said.

He said that the electricity wherever it is snapped should be restored as early as possible to ensure that the people should not suffer in this harsh weather condition.

He said that the administration in all the districts of Kashmir Valley should constitute teams for the assessment of the losses so that adequate compensation is released in favour of the victims.

“The harsh winters in Kashmir always cause problems but there must be a prompt response from the Govt in this direction,” he added.(KNS
