Srinagar, July 06(KNS): Renowned politician Mohammad Yaseen Choodisaaz on Thursday said that is crucial to consider the circumstances of low-income families residing in downtown areas while installing the Smart Meters.

In a statement issued here, Choodisaaz said that instead of imposing mandatory smart meter installations on them, let's adopt a more compassionate approach that remains in the interest of general public.

"Introducing a flat tariff system can ensure affordability and accessibility to essential energy services until the economy experiences substantial growth," he said.
