Mirwaiz Umar Farooq expresses grief over demise of Dr Ahmed Din Kanth

Srinagar, July 14 (KNS): Incarcerated Mirwaiz Umar Farooq on Wednesday expressed grief and sorrow on the demise of Dr Ahmed Din Kanth, resident of Nigeen, and paid rich tribute to him for his selfless services as a renowned doctor.

As per a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) he said that Dr Kanth was a kind and gentle soul and a competent and compassionate doctor, and always ready to serve people .

"Kanth sahib's family had close relations with the Mirwaiz family and living in the neighborhood Kanth Sahab was the family physician, who was always available and kind enough to help all members of the family." 

Terming his death as a personal loss for him and the family, Mirwaiz expressed condolences and solidarity with the bereaved family including the deceased's son Dr Aijaz Ahmad Kanth and brother Ghulam Muhammad Kanth and prayed for Jannat-ul-Firdous to the departed soul.

Mirwaiz also expressed grief and sorrow over the demise of Muzaffar Ahmed Naqshbandi, resident of Safakdal presently in Nogam, cousin of Shaheed-e-Masjid Moulvi Mushtaq Ahmad.

Mirwaiz termed the late Muzaffar Ahmad Naqshbandi as a person of noble character and expressed condolences with the deceased's sons, Anjum Ahmed Naqshbandi, Anwar Ahmed Naqshbandi and his elder brother Nazir Ahmed Naqshbandi.

"Due to his continued incarceration Mirwaiz could not attend the funeral prayers of late Dr Ahmad Din Kanth and late Muzaffar Ahmad Naqshbandi, which he highly regretted," it reads. (KNS)
