Srinagar, June 19 (KNS): A militant has been killed in the ongoing encounter in Lolab area of Kupwara district, police said here on Sunday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS), Kupwara Police launched a joint operation along with Army's 28 RR on the disclosure of an arrested militant Showket Ahmed Sheikh in Lolab area.
He said that during search of hideouts, hiding militants fired upon joint search parties and their team also retaliated, in which one militant got killed.
The official said that arrested militant also got trapped and encounter in progress, while further details will be shared accordingly. (KNS)
