Militant associate held along with arms, ammo in Baramulla’s Kunzer: Police

Baramulla, Mar 17 (KNS): The Jammu and Kashmir police on Thursday claimed to have arrested a militant associate from Kunzer locality of Baramulla district and recovered arms and ammunition from his possession. 

 
In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that on the basis of specific information regarding the movement of ANEs, Baramulla police along with 02 RR and 176 BN CRPF launched a joint CASO in village Karhama village of Kunzer. 
 
The statement reads that during search operation one militant associate of TRF an offshoot of LET was intercepted. 
 
“The apprehended person on preliminary questioning disclosed his identity as Waseem Ahmed War son of Mohd Ismail war of Karhama and on his personal search, 01 hand grenades, 02 AK-47 magzines and 20 live rounds were recovered.”
 
It reads that case FIR No. 25/2022 U/S 7/25 Indian Arms Act,18,20,23 UA(P) Act stands registered in Police Station Kunzer and investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
