Sopore, Oct 05 (KNS): A mental health awareness programme on drug abuse was organized by youth building and peace foundation trust in collaboration with journa social development at community hall Bomai in Sopore of north Kashmir's Baramulla district on Tuesday. 

As per a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), SHO Bomia, ZEO Danger Pora, Major 22 RR, were chief guests on the occasion. "Dr Inayat delivered introductory lecture on substance dependence and substance abuse."

The speakers on the occasion deliberated on the ill-effects of drug abuse and highlighted the need of taking preventive measures to eradicate the menace of drugs.

Dr Inayat said the main aim of the programme was to spread awareness among parents' community to take necessary steps for curbing the drug menace. (KNS)
