Srinagar, Dec 22 (KNS): People's Democratic Party (PDP) president Mehbooba Mufti on Wednesday complemened party's youth president Waheed ur Rehman Parra who emerged winner in DDC polls from south Kashmir's Naina territorial seat.

"Couldn’t be prouder of PDPs @parawahid who won his maiden election by a huge margin of votes. Despite being arrested on baseless charges right after filing his nomination people have shown their love & trust for Waheed. Hope justice prevails", Mehbooba tweeted.

Notably Parra is currently under NIA's custody into an alleged link with DySP Divinder Singh's militancy related case. The PDP youth leader was taken into custody after a day he filed his nomination papers for DDC polls. (KNS)
