Budgam, July 09 (KNS): A sweeper from Municipal Committee Budgam died while driver sustained critical injuries after tractor turned turtle near old dumping site in Mamat village of Central Kashmir’s Budgam district on Saturday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the tractor of MC Budgam was heading towards old dumping site in Mamat to dump garbage, when it overturned suddenly.
He said that in the incident sweeper and driver received critical injuries and soon after they were rushed to district hospital Budgam for treatment.
He added that sweeper identified as Muhammad Amin of Khag was declared dead on arrival, while driver Muhammad Iqbal of Hakanpora is undergoing treatment.
The official said that police have registered a case under relevant sections of law in this regard. (KNS)
