Srinagar 09 May (KNS): President All J&K Shia Association and General Secretary JK People’s Conference, Maulana Imran Raza Ansari greets Muslims across J&K on the auspicious occasion of Lailatul Qadr, the Night of Power or Decree in Ramadan, to be observed on Sunday.

Maulana Imran prayed for continued peace, progress and prosperity of the Muslim Ummah.

He said that Lailatul Qadr is superior to a thousand nights. This night is "very sacred and full of virtues" for mankind.

Allah has revealed the holy Quran on this night, he added.

"On this night, Almighty Allah opens up His store of blessings and forgiveness. Therefore, the significance of this glorified night is immense," President said.

He urged people to avoid large gatherings and avoid attending congregational prayers in closed spaces. He further requested all to follow COVID-19 SOP’s as instructed by the Medical experts and pray for all the patients suffering from Covid-19.

"I pray to Almighty Allah for continued progress, peace, health and welfare of all our Muslim on this holy night," he added. (KNS)
