In a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), a spokesperson said that in a recent event, Bhagwant Mann went to one of the holiest places of Sikh Community, Takht Shree Damdama Sahib Punjab.

“It is a well settled principle that every religious place has its own moral codes, whereas no person should enter a Mandir, Masjid or a Gurdwara in a state of intoxication. It reads that this hurts the sentiments of millions of members of Sikh community in India & across the world.

“In such an event Sikh community of J&K through me seeks a legal action against the sitting CM of Punjab. I urge the whole Sikh community to come forward & ask for his resignation as a CM for hurting the religious values, sentiments & disrespect to takat Shri Damdama Sahib,” it reads. (KNS)
