Man accused of selling fake fungicides arrested after 11 years: CBK

Srinagar, Dec 06 (KNS): The Crime Branch Kashmir on Monday said that it arrested a person accused of selling fake and duplicate fungicides in the Valley after more than eleven years.

An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that CBK has arrested one accused namely Mohammad Yousf Bhat son of Sonaullah Bhat of Qazigund, who was involved in case FIR 21/1995 U/S 420,483 of P/S CBK for sale of fake and duplicate fungicides in the valley. 

“The case was closed as proved against the accused and 10 other persons and chargesheet in the instant case was filed in the Court of Law on 30.07.1998. However, the accused during the court trial absconded and was evading arrest Since 2010, for which warrant under section 512 Cr.PC was issued by the court of City Judge Srinagar,” he said.

He said that the warrant has been executed by CBK today and the accused has been arrested after more than 11 years,” he said.

The official said the accused was produced before the court of Law and was later sent to judicial custody. (KNS)
