Srinagar,December 13 (KNS): Socio Activist And Sr Trade Union Leader, President JKBC-Jammu And Kashmir Business Confederation M Altafdar Rajbagh has taken up with the local.
Administration/Authorities a demand for setting up a fire station in the Zero Bridge Rajbagh area to fulfill needs of various areas of the Rajbagh/Jawaharnagar/Gogibagh Ward.
“I M Altafdar Rajbagh request the LG Administration/Divisional Administration/District Administration to set up a fire brigade station in the Rajbagh,Zerobridge area. A fire broke out at the Zero Bridge recently and major loss was reported in the incident. A fire station is required in the Zero bridge, Rajbagh area,” said M Altafdar Rajbagh.
“If the fire brigade station is established in the area,it will facilitate the Zero bridge,Armwari,Kanilpora,Footbridge Rajbagh,Khujbagh, Iqbal Colony,Pathan Bagh, Kursoo,Rajbagh,Jawaharnagar,Ikrajpora,Wazir Bagh,Gogibagh, Solina Padshahibagh,Mehjoor Nagar,Soeitang,and near by areas stated the M Altafdar Rajbagh.
It is worth mentioning here that with the extension of the Srinagar Municipal Corporation’s jurisdiction,and establishment of outer city areas, the Fire Department,At present,The fire stations of Batmaloo and Barbarshah are based in congested areas, where fire tenders do not find enough space to pass swiftly and reach their destinations on time to attend fire calls from outer city areas, especially in above said residential and Commercial areas.There is a need of new fire stations for the effective functioning of the Fire Department,” said M Altafdar Rajbagh President JKBC-Jammu And Kashmir Business Confederation(The Business Fraternity).(KNS)
