Kupwara, Oct 22 (KNS): The residents of Khari Kandi area of Karnah in north Kashmir’s Kupwara district have accused the administration of turning a blind eye towards the menace of dumping garbage on the main road, which emanates foul smell and attracts stray dogs.

The locals told Kashmir News Service (KNS) that the garbage is being brought here in trucks and is being dumped on the main road, while ironically the administration has turned a blind eye towards the grave issue.

They said that the waste material that is collected from various areas is dumped on the roadside and thereby hampering the movement of pedestrians as well as traffic.

“The stray dogs breed on this roadside turned garbage dumping sites on Tanghdar-Teetwal road making it dangerous as the dogs chase pedestrians,” the locals said.

Meanwhile, the locals demanded action against those who are dumping garbage and waste material along the roadside. (KNS)
