Srinagar, May 02: GoC 15 Corps Lieutenant General DP Pandey on Monday praised the local youth who brought laurels to the nation, saying "despite of hard circumstances they have fought to emerge as achievers".
Pandey who was speaking to reporters said during my tenure in Jammu and Kashmir, I met several youth in rural amd urban belts who were doing extremely well. He said despite of hard circumstances the youth of Kashmir valley have fought to emerge as achievers.
To a question, the GoC said terrorists are putting local youth for their wilful narrative however since we brought down militancy and kept local youth away, the handlers of terrorists failed to find their way.
He added despite challenges the Army and other security agencies are utilising their utmost efforts to maintain peace in the region. (KNS)
