LeT militant associate held in Baramulla’s Kreeri

Pattan, Apr 07 (KNS): Security forces on Thursday claimed to have apprehended a militant associate in Kreeri area of Baramulla district.

 
According to a statement, a joint team of police, 29 RR, 2nd BN SSB apprehended a militant associate of LeT outfit in Dlipora village of Kreeri, following a specific input about the movement of suspicious persons. 
 
He had been identified as Iqbal Mir son of Ghulam Nabi Mir of Mungam Wagoora. 
 
The statement reads that during search of the individual, arms and ammunition were recovered from his possession which includes one AK magazine, 20 live rounds of AK, 02 UBGL grenades and 02 detonators which were being carried in a bag.
 
It reads that during preliminary investigation, it was found that he was a close associate of an active militant Hilal Sheikh alias Hanzulla of Shrakwara Kreeri affiliated with LeT and he was also in contact with a Pakistani militant Usman. 
 
It further reads that a case under sections of Indian Arms Act and UA (P) Act stands registered against him in Police Station Kreeri and investigation has been set in motion. (KNS)
