No difference between 2010, 2016 agitation: Govt
Srinagar, Jan 03 (KNS): The second day of Budget session of Jammu and Kashmir assembly on Tuesday began amid in commotion by the opposition parties demanded debate on the recent civilian killings in Kashmir.
Despite repeated requests from Chairman Council Haji Inayat Ali, the members of the opposition parties created uproar seeking debate on the killings and prevailed situation in Kashmir.
Avoiding the requests from Chairman Council, the National Conference members, Dr Bashir Ahmad Veeri, Ali Mohamamd Dar, Showkat Ahmad Ganie and Shahnaz Ganie including congress member Gh Nabi Monga continuously protested.
The spokesperson for the coalition government Nayeem Akhtar requested the opposition member to maintain the peace with assurance them that government is willing to debate on the killings in Kashmir.
Senior cabinet ministers Gh Nabi Hanjura, Sayed Farooq Indrabi, Bhali Bagat and Sunil Sharma were also present there.
With continues protests and commotion by the opposition members the Chairman council permit the debated in the council.
“We can discuss the Kashmir situation in council and members are allowed to put their perspectives,” Haji Inayat Ali said.
Meanwhile in the debate the National conference member Showkat Ahmad Ganie alleged that state administration used maximum force on peaceful protesters after the death of Burhan Wani.

While speaking on the issue the Congress leader Gh Nabi Monga criticised the collation government, and said that they fail to handle the situation. He said instead of using police and forces government should have a well versed policy to deal with protesters.
Monga said that Kashmiri people and youngsters are being harassed by the state administration.
Other opposition member too took part in the debate and condemned over the recent killings, injured and blinding people in Kashmir.
While taking part in the discussion member from the ruling party Saif U din Baht blames that National Conference and congress parties too are responsible in worsening the situation in Kashmir.
Answering the questions raised from opposition members, Education Minister Nayeem Akhtar said, that they too have regrets and remorse with killings in Kashmir and this will be remembered as black part in our history.
Nayeem Akhtar said there is no difference between 2010 agitation and 2016 agitation. He said PDP supported the then coalition NC-Congress government to restore peace, but they played negative role in 2016.
He requested the opposition parties to give support in normalizing the situation in Kashmir , with disruption of house poor public are sufferers. (KNS)
