Lawyers hired by family members of detainees held in New Delhi last week, to leave Delhi tomorrow


Srinagar, Dec 11 (KNS): Kashmir based criminal lawyers Advocate Aamir Masoodi assisted by Advocate Prince Salheen have been engaged by the family of persons arrested in Delhi in connection with the Narco-terrorism case. The lawyers will leave New Delhi tomorrow where they meet detainees to get one to one facts from them.

According to KNS, Special Cell of Delhi Police headed by Deputy Commissioner of Police earlier this week had claimed to have arrested 5 persons in connection with a Narco-terrorism case. Three among the five arrested persons are natives of Kashmir valley.

Police has alleged that one of the arrested persons Mohd Ayoub Pathan has been following the instructions of a Pakistan based operatives who had tasked the arrested persons to receive a consignment of narcotics, which was infiltrated into India through Pakistan.
However his family members refuted the police claims and said the arrested person had gone to Amritsar Punjab to purchase some goods for construction purposes and they are not able to understand how has he reached Delhi.

Meanwhile the hired lawyers will leave for New Delhi on December 12 where they will meet the arrested persons and verify the actual facts of the case. The lawyers will make sure that the arrested persons are not treated inhumanly and no kind of torture is used against the arrested persons and shall also ensure all the constitutional remedies are provided to the arrested persons.
