Laigaroo demands release of Parra, appeals youth to desist from drugs  on International Youth Day

Srinagar August 12:(KNS)   On International Youth Day, People Democratic Party youth coordinator central kashmir Arif Laigaroo has demanded the released of party youth wing president Waheed-u-Rehman Parra, besides appealing youth to desist from menace of drugs.

Terming Parra as youth icon, Laigaroo has demanded his release on this day. “ He used to guide the youth towards towards the goal but unfortunately he was jailed,” he said adding that his release will help the youth to reach their goal. “Leaving party affiliations aside, Waheed was a youth icon.”

In a statement issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) The PDP leader has also appealed the youth of valley to pledge on this day not to indulge in drug abuse. “ Drug abuse situation is alarming, with each passing day,” he said adding that there is urgent need to desist from this practice.

He urged the parents to keep close watch on their wards so that they won’t indulge in drug abuse.
