Kupwara police inaugurates T20 cricket tourney

Kupwara, June 15 (KNS): With an aim to channelize energy of youth in nation building and eradicate drugs menace from the roots besides making a healthy and crime free society, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar Saturday inaugurated T20 Cricket Tournament at Galizoo Stadium Kupwara.

64 teams from the district are participating in the tournament. The tournament was declared open by SSP Kupwara Shriram Ambarkar.

According to Kashmir News Service (KNS) Correspondent, SSP said that the main objective of the tournament is to infuse discipline and sports spirit among the youth, besides promoting sports culture.

SSP Kupwara stressed upon local youth to take best training's so as to enable themselves to compete at District, National as well as International level.

Among others who were present on the occasion included ASP Kupwara Mir Ifroz, DySP DAR Javaid Ahmad Lone, DySP Fayaz Ahmad and other Senior Police, Civil Officers, Media Persons, various prominent citizens and large number of sports lovers were present on the occasion. (KNS)
