Handwara, March 28 (KNS): The body of a Kupwara resident, who went missing last week, was recovered from Handwara outskirts in the district on Tuesday.
An official told Kashmir News Service (KNS) the body of 65-year-old Mohammad Shaban resident of Drugmulla, who was missing for the last 2 weeks, was recovered today from a Nallah in Braripora area of Handwara.
He said the body was spotted by some locals of Braripora, following which police was informed and a team reached to the spot.
The official said the body will be handed over to the family after completion of medico-legal formalities.
He also said that it looks a case of drowning, however, FIR has been registered and further investigation has been taken up. (KNS)
