Karnah, Feb 14 (KNS): Karnah-Kupwara road reopened for vehicular traffic on Tuesday after remaining closed for a week due to fresh snowfall at Sadhna Top, officials said.
They said vehicle carrying essential stock including vegetables were allowed to ply towards Karnah today.
Drivers have been cautioned regarding overloading and also advised to use chains due to the slippery road conditions," they said.
Meanwhile, SDM Karnah Gulzar Ahmad Rather said that traffic on road was suspended due to recent snowfall and continuous avalanche warnings.
He said Beacon was not able to clear the road due to high avalanche warnings. (KNS)
