Karnah, March 15 (KNS): The authorities on Monday reopened the Karnah-Kupwara road for vehicular movement after remaining closed for 4 days due to heavy snowfall in the area few days ago. 

The road is situated on a hilly terrain that often leads to blockade of the road. 

An official told KNS that due to recent snowfall in the area, the road was closed for all sorts of traffic movement. "By the excellent work of 109 RCC GREEF with the collaboration of Shakti Vijay Brigade and SDM Karnah, Dr. Bilal Bhat (IAS)  it has been made possible to open the road for vehicular movement in such a short period of time," he said.
 
He said that thousands of passengers were stuck on the both sides and due to reopening of the road they heaved a sigh of relief. 

The people also expressed a sense of gratitude to the administration for their excellent work. (KNS)
