Kamran Mohammad Shamas wins Silver medal at 31st National Wushu Championship

Srinagar November 08 (KNS): This time the Indoor stadium Srinagar had the privilege of hosting the event for the first ever time. 
A total of 1800 athletes from all over India participated in different categories. 

Kamran Mohammad Shamas son of an Retd. Engineer Shamsdin Wani played for J&K and was participating in 90+ category. He was confident as he had undergone rigorous training and practice and it paid off as he won Silver medal bringing laurels to his family, coaches and fans.
   
Besides, Kamran has participated in multiple Wushu events held across India and is expecting to land at international stage soon.

Kamran belongs to Lolab valley and is currently pursuing Honours in Economics from LPU Punjab.

While talking to Gulshan Sports Kamran said, "I want to thank Mr. Kuldeep Handoo Sir- first Dronacharya awardee from J&K,  Secratary Mr Maqsood Rather and coach Rameez, Ajaz  and Irfan sir."

His parents were cheerful and excited, so are people at his native place. All wish him good luck.(KNS)
