Karnah, Oct 06 (KNS): In order to promote sports among the youth of Karnah and develop competitive culture in them, Karnah Kabaddi League commenced on Wednesday at Nachiyan in Karnah. 

As per a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS) the month long sporting event will witness participation of 32 teams from all village panchyats of Karnah tehsil. 

“The event is being organised by the Karnah civil society in association with the Indian Army,” reads the statement.

It reads that the inaugural match of the event was played between Tangdhar Giants & Hajinar Bulls and it was won by Hajinar Bulls. 

Locals gathered in large numbers to witness and cheered their village teams. The event will be conducted at multiple locations within Karnah Tehsil such as Nachiyan, Sulieman, Baghbela and other remote villages of the area with attractive cash prizes and trophies. 

The finals of the tournament will be conducted on October 31, the landmark day which entire nation celebrates as National Unity Day. (KNS)
