Srinagar, March 01 (KNS): J&K Peoples Movement has demanded urgent intervention of Mr Manoj Sinha Hon’ble LG, J&K in the evacuation of students belonging to J&K from Ukraine.

In a press release issued here, JKPM Vice President Solicitor Syed Iqbal Tahir said that as per media reports there are nearly 400 students from Jammu and Kashmir, mainly from Kashmir, studying in different educational institutions of Ukraine. He said that there are conflicting reports of students from India not being allowed to leave Ukraine as a result that families of these students are deeply worried.

He urged Mr Manoj Sinha to raise the issue with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs to ensure the safety of students hailing from J&K.
