JKPM condemns civilian killing in Zainpora, Shopian

Srinagar, Oct 24 (KNS): J&K Peoples Movement has strongly condemned the killing of a civilian near a CRPF camp in Zainapora area of Shopian.

In a press statement, JKPM Vice President Solicitor Syed Iqbal Tahir said civilian population in J&K is stuck between two powers who can play cricket matches but cannot sit on the negotiating table to resolve the conflict in Kashmir. He alleged that the present central government has failed to save the lives of people in J&K and has used Kashmir for electoral purposes.

Expressing solidarity with the bereaved family, Iqbal Tahir demanded an independent probe into the incident and exemplary compensation to the victim’s family. (KNS)
