Srinagar, Apr 26 (KNS): All Jammu and Kashmir Panchayat Forum president Rather Mehraj has appointed Bharatiya Janta party senior leader Javid Qureshi as general secretary and spokesperson for Jammu and Kashmir.
According to a statement, issued to Kashmir News Service (KNS), Qureshi expressed gratitude to forum for being appointed general secretary and spokesperson.
Qureshi said that he will fight for the rights of Sarpanchs and Panchs as these people have given their blood and sweat to strengthen democracy at the grassroots level.
He said that the issues like safe accommodation, security and ex-gratia will always remain his first priority.
Notably, Javid Qureshi is a socio-political activist and senior leader of BJP from Kupwara district. (KNS)
